41 workers finally rescued out from the tunnel
The 41 labourers who were trapled inside a partially collapsed tunnel in uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has been rescued out after 17 days on 28 nov 2023 on 7pm.
The rescue operation was continuously going on since 12 November with a high level of safety measures and all the technical support.
Almost 12 rat-hole mining experts were tasked throughout the operation. The Australian tunneling expert Arnold Dix provided continuous assistance, providing all the technical support for the operation.
The CM of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami was at the site when the workers were pulled back out of the tunnel and announced on Tuesday that all the tunnels will be reviewed to avoid any such cases in further future.
PM Narendra Modi had took a conversation on call with the workers and praised their courage and patience.
